The Ordnance Survey are experts at mapping stuff so imagine how chuffed I was when they offered to map my new country.

Eel Pie Island, famed in the sixties for being the haunt of The Rolling Stones, and named after a pub that was surprisingly famous for making Eel Pies, sits in the middle of the Thames near Twickenham. Home to nearly 120 people, I thought it was ripe for invasion. With Jon Bond my Minister of Defence at my side we stormed the island...well it was more walking than storming.
