When it comes to starting a country a constitution can be a very useful document indeed. Think about it, they make perfect sense…if you buy a new stereo or TV it comes with a nice little manual explaining exactly how it all works. Become a new citizen of a country and you get a constitution setting out exactly how it's going to work…lovely.

As the EU are discovering, the trick to creating a really good constitution is getting it right up front, making sure that it is going to meet the needs of the majority of your citizens, and keeping it reasonably short and to the point.

So I’ve made a start but now it’s up to you to make it great. Let me know of any changes or amendments you think would be appropriate and help me shape the finest constitution in the world. A constitution that will allow us all to live in perfect harmony.
