Born to be King. Citizens Required. Dept. of keeping things right. Have a nice day and be good
/ HOME / DEPT. OF KEEPING THINGS RIGHT / MEET THE SAS
When I first met the SAS I could tell from the knitwear alone that this was like no SAS I’d ever seen before.

The Second Amendment Sisters taught me two very important lessons. The first was how to fire a revolver, which it turns out I am quite good at (link to Danny’s target entitled Born To Shoot). The second was that I needed to be very careful about what I put in my constitution.

You see, the Second Amendment Sisters believe it is the right of every American citizen to carry a gun for the purposes of self-defence. In fact, as their name suggests, it is a right that they believe is enshrined in the Second Amendment of the American constitution.

My first introduction to a gun (I haven’t a clue what type, except it looked pretty cool)

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Now the wording of this amendment causes a great deal of controversy and debate in the US…does it mean that the state sanctions the right to bear arms or does it mean that the people are afforded this right? A tricky question, and one best left to the Americans.

So in order not to fall into this same trap I am banning all guns on the basis that they shoot bullets and have a terrible habit of killing people. I have carefully crafted our constitution to reflect this fact.

My first ever target, I must admit it scared me a little

“No citizen shall bear arms against king or country…although the right to bare arms shall be sacrosanct – especially in the summer.”

That should help avoid any confusion in the future.
